A Twitterchat is a moderated group discussion, held weekly on twitter.
Anyone can fire in a question, either before the discussion (on the Twitterchat area of the forums), or during the twitterchat itself. Just use the hashtag (usually #sbgym) in your tweets.
To follow the discussion, set up a search column in your Twitter client (Tweetdeck is best for this), and search for 'sbgym'. This will show you a constantly updated list of all tweets tagged with 'sbgym'.
To see the topic of the upcoming twitterchat, head over to the forums.
To suggest a strength-training topic for a future discussion, simply sign up for the Strength & Fitness Newsletter. Absolutely free.
The Twitterchats are held at 9pm-10pm Eastern (1am-2am UTC), every Wednesday. To see when that is for your timezone, check the Twitterchat Calendar on the forums.
The Twitterchats were started back in Feb 2009 by Straight to the Bar's Scott Andrew Bird. Each week he acts as the discussion's moderator, together with a leader in the field being discussed.
Questions are directed at this guest from participants worldwide. If you'd like to be one of them, let me know.
